Before you mop, empty your trash can, then use it as a mop bucket. This helps get some of the garbage-stink out of the trash can, and it saves you having to remember where you put the mop bucket.
If you always use your trash can as your mop bucket, it keeps the garbage stink at bay in the first place. The first time, you may need to clean the garbage can out first. I am also assuming that you are using some kind of cleaning solution to mop your floor, which helps attack the garbage stink while it sits there being mop water. (It's a hybrid of two pivotal Crappy Housewife concepts: let it soak, and do two things with the same thing.)
Wouldn't that result in me spreading garbage-stink all over my floor?
ReplyDeleteGood point, Ben!! I would rinse it out with bleach first myself!!
